Dr. King on Hate

Our cyberstalker has a fondness of quoting MLK. We find that interesting given that he doesn’t walk what he talks apparently.

We came across this quote from Dr. King and thought it apropos; we first came upon it many years ago by way of an amazing teacher. May she RIP. Gone but not forgotten C.S. She touched a lot of lives all for the better.

“Hate is just as injurious to the hater as it is to the hated. Like an unchecked cancer, hate corrodes the personality and eats away its vital unity. Many of our inner conflicts are rooted in hate. This is why the psychiatrists say, “Love or perish.” Hate is too great a burden to bear.”
